Water spectacular coming to Universal Orlando this summer
POSTED 14 Jun 2018 . BY Tom Anstey
IP such as Jurassic World will be utilised for the water show
Universal is set to introduce a reimagined water show this summer, blending water and projection to create a jaw-dropping cinema spectacle.

Called Universal Orlando's Cinematic Celebration, the nighttime lagoon show combines "an all-new storyline with full panoramic water screens accented by additional multi-layer water screens, pyrotechnics and – for the first time ever – more than 120 dancing fountains and projection mapping".

The combination of these technologies will turn the park's waterfront and its surrounding buildings into a stage showcasing movie moments and characters, including Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Despicable Me and more.

In addition to the new show, Universal has created a dedicated viewing area designed specifically for the show – giving them prime viewing of the experience. The show will be the second nighttime offering from the park, which also hosts “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

"This will take our lagoon show experience to the next level," said Michael Aiello, director of creative development for entertainment at Universal Orlando.

"Get ready for an epic cinema under the stars. The entire waterfront of the Universal Studios lagoon will transform into a vivid celebration of epic movie moments and beloved characters."
